Preparation and High-Throughput Testing of TiO2-Supported Co Catalysts for Fischer‒Tropsch Synthesis

A series of Co/TiO2 catalysts was tested in a parameters field study for Fischer‒Tropsch synthesis (FTS). All were prepared by the conventional impregnation technique to obtain an industrially relevant Co content 10 wt % or 20 %, respectively. In summary, different TiO2 pure anatase phase, rutile as well mixed and phase used supports. Performance tests conducted with 32-fold high-throughput setup accelerated catalyst benchmarking; thus, 48 experiments completed within five weeks operation (170 °C 233.5 °C, H2/CO ratio 1 2.5, bar(g)). The most promising showed CH4 selectivity 5.3% at CO conversion 60% C5+ productivity 2.1 gC5+/(gCo h) 207.5 °C. These TiO2-based materials clearly differentiated respect application supports Co-catalyzed FTS catalysis. prospective candidates are available further optimization commercial scale.

Preparation of TiO2-supported twinned gold nanoparticles by CO treatment and their CO oxidation activity.

We found that twinned gold nanoparticles (T-AuNPs) are generated at a high probability by CO treatment of TiO2-supported Au(iii) at room temperature. Because of the formation of T-AuNPs, the Au/TiO2 prepared by the CO treatment showed higher catalytic activity for CO oxidation than Au/TiO2 prepared by conventional H2 treatment.
